The guidance issue is really quite simple and covered by the Member’s Code of Conduct. However in the real world specific guidance is needed and the work by Norfolk here covers it nicely.

Please email or call if you want any specific advice on getting your councillors online.

It’s been a good year. You’ve got great writers with great stories to tell. As Simon Dickson said they deserve more credit and we should be actively promoting their blogs.

I like the idea of gathering feedback. Where should people post? Should they just write on their own blog and tag it? What? Where will we aggregate those posts?

Good to read this Shane – this years Blog Action Day brought back similar memories to me – which I blogged at the weekend http://juliac2.wordpress.com/2009/10/11/blogging-the-personal-side-of-work/ I’m interested to hear reactions from people who have found our bloggers – are we meeting our objectives of injecting a human element into reporting on the work of a government department? Would people like to see more/different stories?

Good to hear that Tony’s still at it. Reading this post reminded me of what he told us about his previous experience as a web master – lots of effort (and cost) in getting a site off the ground and almost no visitors.
